Being playing with Thandra C208 Caravan. Really nice

How's it modeled ? Because I see that there's a REP offer for it so I assume the default doesn't bring all of the details in the modelling of systems, and maybe even flight performance ?  I ask because I considered bying it and finding some good Papua New Guinea scenery for XP11 so that I could reproduce some of the adventues made possible with MFS...

[OFF TOPIC]

Yeah, I lost interest in flight sims at the moment, I'm playing an old MS-DOS subsim (you could say it's the Aerowinx PS1 of subsims), maybe I'll get Wolfpack next!

I tried a few times to divert from Flight simulation too 🙂 and boat / car simulation, and even tank simulation with one of the modules for IL-2, or the tanks in War Thunder, were some of my incursions 🙂

Yet another hint: London Control 🙂

There is no REP for the Thandra 208, and I doubt it will need it. I havnt blown the engines up and it does have option for realistic engine management which I have set, but than I dont go around trying to blow up my engine, Its nice well modeled flies well even in turbulence doesnt fly on rails.

Hi José.......long time!

I'm flying mostly VFR over Iberic Peninsula using aerobask robin and/or nhadrian's C152 mod for the carenado, starting from the airfield where I learned to fly.

Sometimes I hop on the Tiger Moth or nhadrians's ASK21 and do a quick local.... all these when I have time and disposition, of course....😏

Grande abraço José! 😉🤜🤛

Granda Pedro !!!!

Wow, that's the very same aerodrome I started my flight instruction in June 1980 ! in a Blank L-13 :-)

I will surely get that scenery ASAP and drop it in my XP11 folder !

All the Best Pedro !!!

The Rotate MD-11 brought me back to XP-11 almost full time. With a couple of updates, the MD-11  is really turning into a solid plane. Flying mostly over Vertical Sim ortho. Real nice. Really looking forward to XP 12.  Skip

I believe I never got to SAR4 ?  Wasn't SAR3 the last of the Saga" ?  Did play it too 🙂

How's the 206 modeled in the CowanSim way ? Never had a 206 for X-Plane. My only 206s in sims were those that came with fs98 and then the Dodosim 206 with fs9 🙂

Pretty sure it's SAR4, it's still sleeping on my harddisk, not able to get it running anymore.

I'm not that deep into helos, but my old memory from FS9's DODOSIM206ADV get me though cold and dark and get into sky nicely. and the new SAS/Autopilot stuff works pretty good.

I do have an AFM for 206L3 though, haven't try test fly it by numbers, but...it flies like a helicopter!

Hi José,

make sure to use the scenery with X-Europe and Ortho4XP... there's a bug in the Penedo do Guincho Rock tough...but for me it's a very realistic experience!

All the best to you my friend! 😉

Dug out Carenado's Saab 340 and got my "Woah." moment over the Cumberland Mountains on the way to Pittsburgh. I easily forget good X-Plane can look without much effort.

(I really hope the Saab works in XP12. Would be a real shame if it didn't.)

I hope so to Bjorn.I have had loads of fun with that plane along with the Airfoillabs King Air 350. I suggest flying in southern West Virginia in which some towns in the base of the mountains resemble Lugano Switzerland.HAPPY FLYING!!!!!!!

I fly the 340 precisely for such hops. 200 to 300 nm from medium sized airports to small ones as some sort of company or sports team charter or so.

I make trips like that also Bjoern. Casino, Family outings. etc. I have an Embraer 135 for such occasion also.I don"t

belong to any virtual airline groups so i can fly when i'm not busy. Nothing like flying high end virtual charters. LOL!!!!!!

Do you mean the Toliss A340 ?

How good / complex / complete systems-wise is it ?
