Checklist window is blank

Featured Replies

I have had MSFS installed since the first public release, from the MS store.  It's almost completely a stock install except for some airports and planes from the Marketplace.  Nothing in my community folder.

I noticed the checklist window was blank, but thought it might be a bug.  However, it hasn't changed with any of the updates.  This happens on all aircraft, stock and payware.

I was getting CTDs a while back and the fix was restoring all of the C++ libraries from Microsoft.  This also FIXED the checklist problem.  However, the next update 'broke' it and I am back to an empty checklist window.  No other noticeable problems in the sim or other windows.

Finally, I de-installed and re-installed the entire sim, which took over a day to download/install.  No change - checklist window is still empty.

Tonight, I will try to delete/re-install the C++ distributables from Microsoft again, but it would be nice to know the source of this problem.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Best Regards,

Mark

Do you have checklist in the overhead menu selected?

Yes, checklist is turned on.  I can click the checkmark/checklist icon and the window appears, but it is completely blank except for the window title;  checklist.

I would have to agree with that.  And I run WU almost every day.

But I wonder now if the key was uninstalling all of the libraries and re-registering them?  Just thinking out loud because I can't be the only one with this problem,  hopefully.

It's a vanilla PC as well, dedicated to MSFS2020, so I try to keep it squeaky clean.

I installed new visual C++ libraries last night but no change.

Still getting an empty "Checklist" window on all planes.  Has anyone run into this?

Mark
