P3D 4.5 Green Message - Activesky in Control

Featured Replies

Hi everybody,

since several flights I have an odd issue with my P3d 4.5. I have been getting messages at the top of my screen "Activesky is in control" with the according wind directions and wind speeds.

I didnt chance anything in my setup and tried several settings in Active Sky (all messages are deactived) and also within P3D (all messages deactivated etc.). You can see the message line on the screen below.

Could anyone tell what triggers this message and how to deactive it? If I will close the message line it will immediately pop up again. I dont want to have any message lines in my sim and they really distract me...

Thank you for your help and BR Florianspacer.png

I just deactivated most "Sim text message options" in ActiveSky, except for connection lost. That did it for me.

OS=WIN11 Home, Sim=P3D5 5.3 (P3D4 and FSX for install reasons)
Addons=ORBX, ASCA, AS, TOGA and tons of sceneries, aircraft

Unfortunately I already deactivated all messages from Active Sky but without any impact on the green messages.

I thought it was from RealTurb, no idea how to turn it off, if you figure it out, let me know...

I remember having fiddeled around quite some time to get rid of it, but finally found all settings. When I look into active sky settings I think it´s easy to find. I think it´s another tool then just mentioning Active Sky.

Try this:
Open ActiveSky and in the left margin, click on "Options" (a "gear" symbol).
Then select "sim text message options"
      Then "Show in-sim text messages"
Then, Remove the check mark from the box for "Show in-sim text messages".

Hi all,

thanks for your help so far. I tried several things and it has to do anything with PMDG 777. This is the only aircraft where this is appearing.
