May 23, 20224 yr I imported a .pln with the DEDKI5 departure R05 out CYYZ and the P2A navlog shows the waypoints of this SID. When I get my clearance, ATC gives me the BOMET8 departure off R33R as the winds have changed, however it does not change the SID and runway in the P2A NAVLOG itself and when I fly the departure I get a vector to a waypoint in the DEDKI5 departure instead of the BOMET8 in my clearance (and programmed in my FMC). Do I also have to manually update the P2A navlog to "sync" with what I got in my ATC clearance? It sounds like this should be done automatically and might be a bug. May 23, 20224 yr Curious what happens when you import the plan without the SID. Normally you wouldn't file a SID, it is something that ATC assigns you when you pick up your IFR clearance. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
May 23, 20224 yr Commercial Member The visible flight plan is maintained by the pilot. If ATC issues a clearance with a different procedure, it's up to the pilot to change it in the aircraft GPS/FMS, and if desired, in the P2A flight plan. The change in P2A is optional since it does not drive the aircraft flight path like the GPS/FMS does. Think of it as ATC having its own separate version of the flight plan, once you File it. If you want to fly what you file, then you should uncheck the ATC Assigns xxx options and also check the "Force Pilot Runway Selection" option. Dave

Dave Understood, and my FMS was updated with the cleared SID (BOMET8). I am not strictly looking to fly what I file, I expect ATC to give me a more appropriate DP like it did in this case, since DEDKI5 is only for the NE/SW runways so that is a good thing. The issue is that ATC was referencing the wrong SID after takeoff... on climb out it gave me direct ALKUT which is a waypoint on my filed SID (DEDKI5) and not the cleared SID (BOMET8). So ATC's "own separate version of the flight plan" is referencing the filed SID still when it should have been updated with the cleared SID. Thanks, Alex
