I asked alex about this on the Kodiak update stream.

They are waiting on Asobo to move instrument rendering to Nano VG on PC, the same as on the XBOX. Currently this is only a switchable option in Dev mode for PC while they test/work on it.

On the XBox the sim already uses this render structure, the standby instrument has little impact on frame rates.

Views, it's all about youtube views. These tricks don't do a thing anyway.

But it does shine some light on the number of people having these performance issues.
