June 19, 20223 yr What's the difference between an airport and an aerodrome? I notice in P3D most airport are designated airports but a few others are designated aerodromes. Is there a difference? In Orbx they have some Water Aerodromes for float planes. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
June 19, 20223 yr Moderator EGCD - Woodford Aerodrome closed a few years ago here in Cheshire. It was where the Lancaster and later, the Vulcan bombers were built. Runways but no passenger terminals so classed as an aerodrome. Many are former RAF airfields. Ray (Cheshire, England). June 20, 20223 yr Aerodrome is a naming convention that was used when landing areas were first developed in the infancy of man's flight. In some places the name stuck but the majority have become airports or airfields. Thank you.
