Carenado Beech D-18 Manual

Featured Replies

I have sent a request to Carenado, but have not heard from them yet. Thought maybe one of you can help.
I am using MSFS 2020 and have bought several planes from the Marketplace and have been totally satisfied so far. I bought the Carenado PA Sky Master, the Seminole, and the Seneca. All came with documentations including the manuals. I just bought the Beech D-18 and it looks really good, but there is no documents file or manual. Have any of you bought this plane and found the documents folder or manual?

Thanks

Where do i find the documents for the other Carenados?

Presuming that you have the PC based MSFS, installed in the default location, follow the map below. If you have you installation in a different location, then modify the map below as required...

C:\Users\(YOUR USER NAME)\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_(Bunch of letters and numbers may differ between users)\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\carenado-aircraft-(Your favorite Caranado model)\SimObjects\Airplanes\(Your favorite Caranado Model)\Documentation

Break down:

  • C:\Users\(YOUR USER NAME)\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_(Bunch of letters and numbers may differ between users)\ : This is your MSFS installation
  • LocalCache\Packages\Official\\OneStore : This is the "Official library for default and market place purchased content, as opposed to the more familiar 'Community' library for aftermarket content
  • carenado-aircraft-(Your favorite Caranado model)  : This is the specific Carenado aircraft
  • \SimObjects\Airplanes\(Your favorite Caranado Model): This is the primary content folder path inside the specific Carenado aircraft folder
  • \Documentation : This is the documentation folder that contains your manuals.

Thanks. Yes, I knew that is where they are supposed to be and the ones for my other Carenado planes bought through the Marketplace are there, but there is no Documents folder for the Beech D-18, hence no manual.

I received a response from Carenado stating that support for this product is handled by Microsoft, so I will go there.

Thanks

Thanks for the response and the manual. That is very generous of you to send the Official manual. I will now see how close to the rear thing Carenado came with their product.

There is a Documents folder in each of the other Carenado planes I bought from the Marketplace and the Manual is in there for each, but there is no Documents folder for this one.

I got a reply from Carenado saying that Microsoft handels requests for help on this plane since it was made for them and to go to them for help, which I will do.

Thanks.

Yes, you are correct, that the D18 documents are not included. My response was intended more as an answer to Jan's question on where to find the documents for a typical Carenado install.

I don't know why they would not include the docs with the D18, however I am willing to bet that it is because even though it is a Carenado product, it is marketed as a Microsoft product in this particular instance, and Carenado probably elected to simply not include the documentation rather than go through them all and sterilize out the Carenado logos. But I am only guessing...
