FFTF (dynamicLOD) for MSFS

Recommended Posts

Please, do tell us more Michael, then I can have an even better weekend!

Ah!  I just had a scout around the internet.  Seems like there is a program for P3D and it mentions the good old old 'FIBER FRAME TIME FRACTION' (FFTF).  Did it work well in P3D?

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I messed with this fibre frame time fraction in FSX.  It ran really smoothly set low at 0.03.
It had to be calibrated closely with some bandwidth settings to get the best out of it.

How I can remember that but not not always my Avsim login or bank PIN code, I just don't understand!

Its still a great software in P3Dv5 . I still use it.

For new ones its a software which can dynamically increase/ decrease your LOD based on actually altitude and by this puts more or less CPU power to LOD resources.

It has more  btw.

Uh two different ideas here. The title is talking about Level of Detail, not render resolution.

Guess I was reading toward the end of that thread 2nd to last post terrain LOD. I suppose someone should create a wishlist topic if it isn't the right thing.

I asked in the devsupport forum about this topic last week and they replied that they (Asobo) have no plans to support changing graphic settings through VARS or events.

I hope someone can fix it.
