July 10, 20223 yr Tasmania hangs off the the bottom of Australia. They have Tasmanian Devils there, so I'm told. Oh and they call it Tassie. First things first. Aircraft. I'll be using the 414AW. Something with a cruise speed of 150kts will suffice. Although one that you can bring to stop sharpish would be prudent. Flight plan HERE I think that's all except this bit... July 10, 20223 yr Ron, Tassie is what I have always called it. I worked there on a property in Cressy in the north of Tasmania, back in my youth. They do indeed have Tasmanian Devils there, but every country in the world have devils and most of them are human. LOL Flying there would be better in something slower ie ultra light, as there is some incredible scenery all over the tiny state. Have fun Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. July 10, 20223 yr Author Thank you Tony. But don't listen to his choice of aircraft, it'll take a fortnight to do the flight. We've got about three hours! Tassie it is then. Ultralight? Sheesh! July 10, 20223 yr Ron, I am a pensioner and as such have all day to fill. Bring on the Ultralights for Tassie LOL. I do, however, understand your constraints, so, by all means, ignore my recommendation. Just enjoy your flights mate. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. July 11, 20223 yr Author We're ALL pensioners here mate. Come and fly with us. On second thoughts there may be a couple of whipper-snappers among us. But we keep 'em in line. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
July 11, 20223 yr Ron, Unfortunately at the moment I am in the process of moving house and temporarily living with my daughter and her family. As such, my computer is up and running but my flight controls etc definitely are not and will not be for about another month. I am going crazy not flying at least 3-4 hours a day.
