Elgato Stream Deck trouble

Recommended Posts

I use a Elgato Stream Deck and have spent many hours setting up many aircraft cameras in each cockpit. Everything was fine until the SU10 beta. Now nothing works, all the cameras (CTRL/ALT /# 1-0) have stopped working and not only that but L/R and U/D arrows, Esc , the F keys etc all do not work, but when I enter these from my keyboard they all work fine (bypassing MSFS)
When I use other program’s and apps without MSFS running the Stream Deck works fine. So there is nothing wrong my Stream Deck. The trouble is only when I am using MSFS.
Could this be something to do with the SU10 update I wonder?
Hope that somebody may be able to help me with this strange happening.

I have also posted this on the MS SU10 forum but nothing far.
Kind regards
Richard

Youbetya! Your individual camera files got overwritten by the SU10 beta update. If you have a backup you can restore those camera files. Or rebuild them and then make a backup for the next time it happens.

You might try running the Streamdeck app as administrator, which means it has to be manually started after booting (autorun programs aren't allowed to run as admin).  If you leave it running at shutdown, it'll autostart at next boot, but not with admin permissions.  In that case you need to shut it down and then manually start it as admin.

I have this same issue with the Streamdeck in P3D, and running Streamdeck as admin fixes it.

How low price wise you think it might go?  I just looked and it is 8% off right now from $250 to $231...

I'm thinking they are selling so many of these, it won't go on sale at all. But, hoping it does.

I think it's about 3 -1/2 hours to prime day at Midnight Eastern time.

I had to resort to reinstalling Windows and everything else and it is all back to normal now. So of course I never found out what was wrong but I presume is must have been a corrupt file in there somewhere. It is great to be back to normal as I have just purchased Fenix Airbus.

Kind regards

Riichard
