July 17, 20223 yr i decided to give this app a try so i could use it to program my ch eclipse wheel to work faster.. so I loaded the sim, an aircraft, first i noticed it seems to be per aircraft, but then when i tried to roll the wheel, it did show up as button 14, i added the repeat fast command check box, clicked Add, but nothing happens, it didnt add the button command to the base window.. maybe im missing something here? Does anyone know what might be going on or what i'm missing? Without a "target" to trigger (down event, up event or virtual key), the button assignment is pointless, so the app won't bother creating it. But as SD said, there is a support forum here on AVSIM for the app. Edited July 17, 20223 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

Is it an axis or does it send button events? Again: what did you assign as "Key Down Event" (first selection at the top of the dialog) ? What is supposed to happen when you spin the wheel? And why did you add a "repeat", what is that for? -> Moderators, can you please move this thread to the AxisAndOhs support forum? Thank you. Edited July 19, 20223 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

Oh sorry, i assigned i think it was the trim elevator up, when i scrolled the wheel up, it shows as say button 14. The repeat is to make it faster. Out of the box in msfs the wheel is horridly slow. Ill have to try replicating again this evening, but i'm 99% sure thats what i had done and got stuck. And when you turn it the other way, you get a different button? Are you sure that the wheel is sending a button event for every "click"? Or just the one? "Repeat" is not what you are looking for. This feature is for repeating a button action while a button is being pressed down. If you want to accelerate trim, try "Roll", that is the lower little box to the right of the Key Down Event selection. "Roll" repeats the down event the selected number of times for each single actuation. This is fast, but not very accurate. You may want to pair this with "Fast Turn", and create another assignment to the same trim event the normal way. Then you have large changes when turning fast, and normal ones when turning slow. Assuming that this wheel is really constantly sending button events while you turn it... Also, I would try to assign the wheel as an axis too, just to make sure that it isn't one. The events to use here are most likely AXIS_ELEV_TRIM_SET or ELEVATOR_TRIM_SET. Edited July 19, 20223 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

I tried roll, i didnt try fast turn, but ill try that as well.. i did roll and 9, seems to be the max. I checked off the box for joystick switch and this combo with repeat enabled seemed to be the only way to make it move reasonably fast. Next time ill try fast turn as well. I managed to get this working quite well now, however.. question is.. is there a way to have one profile and it auto assign to any newly loaded aircraft? Seems you can make a template and apply it as craft are loaded, but it would be nice to just say "auto apply this template/settings to all as they load"? The only automatic thing is the assignment of a "clone" to mere liveries of a plane that you already have a configuration for. I usually do "Templates->Apply other config to this aircraft" LORBY-SI
