July 18, 20223 yr ya I understand the OP.. sometimes I want to fly VFR but the ceiling is at 2000' which is MVFR.. I want to preserve that live weather snapshot and just bump up the ceiling to 4000', so that I can complete my flight as VFR.. yesterday I was trying to do CAT1 VFR flight (Pilot Edge training flight) and ran into this problem.. had to manually bump up the ceiling and adjust the winds etc..
