The best-selling of the Boeing 777s... the 777-300ER...

Featured Replies

I was reading about the 777s a bit....and in the recent past I've been steadily acquiring (variant) upgrade add-ons of several (payware) airliners...among which, today, I found the 777-300ER expansion for the CS 777, the base model of which I've owned for many years...but I do not recall testing/flying this specific (CS) 777-300ER variant. So, please find, below, 14 pictures of the 777-300ER for 3 different airlines...

The -300ER, which combined the -300's added capacity with the -200ER's range, fast became the top-selling of the 777 variants (832 deliveries far ahead of the nearest other 777, the -200ER, with 422 deliveries). The 777-300ER was launched with an order for ten aircraft from Air France (see 3 images below for Air France), and the first 777-300ER was delivered to Air France on April 29, 2004. The -300ER is the longest of all the 777 variants, though not the 777 with the longest Range (777-200LR is the one with the longest range, an astounding ~10,000 miles...to keep this range in perspective, the circumference of the earth is ~25,000 miles) ...

The -300ER is exclusively powered by the GE90-115B turbofan engines (see close-up shots, below). I recall several long-haul travels in UA/AA 777s (one hard-to-forget 17+ hours non-stop flight, including a diversion (to alternate airport) at destination due to adverse weather). I noted today that UA/AA have -200/-200ER and -300ER (777) variants, but no -200LRs, in their fleet.

Hope you enjoy these pictures of this fascinating and proven performer, the 777-300ER...! Thanks for viewing...!!
