August 25, 20223 yr Author David, Fix did help. But later on, it started all over again. I think my original Sound card has problems. I purchased new sound card and will install it next week. Thanks Edited August 25, 20223 yr by asanal Ahmet Sanal "Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted"
August 25, 20223 yr What works for me to fix that problem is: 1. Go to the location mentioned in Fix 1 2; Select the "Reduce the volume of other sounds by 80%". 3. Select "Apply" 4. Select "Do Nothing" 5. Click "Apply" 6. Click "OK" Do not reboot, as windows will default to the setting that drops the ATC sound! You will have to do this each time you re-boot your machine if you don't want the sound to drop. I highly recommend you try this before shelling out the bucks for a new sound card. I went through a phase of maybe about 8-10 months where the sound behaved itself but a windows update put paid to that. 😡
