Apologies if this is the incorrect forum.

Was wondering on whether people think this is a good system to run FS 20 to a high detail and very smoothy with some addons and high scenery and weather etc.

Looking to spend under £1000 but am really keen to run this sim without any lags or issues.

XUM Gaming PC Desktop Computer: I7-3770 3.4GHz,GTX 1650 4GB GPU,16GB DDR3 RAM,256GB NVME M.2 SSD,1TB HDD,500W PSU,LEGEND ARGB CASE,600Mbps WiFi,Windows 10

That's an oldtimer now. It will get the job done (not at high detail and without lag), but should only be bought for a good price, definitely not in the slightest proximity to £1000.

Ah OK. I'm not the best at picking out hardware.

Any good recommendations?

Under 1000 is a bit difficult. I'd suggest something with specs comparable to this.

Would you recommend AMD over Intel?

And do you think that link you sent would give high results in terms of speed, addons and scenery etc?

Thanks

Have you considered at top of the line X-Box?

I built my bleeding edge $5000 PC just before MSFS 2020 was launched.

I built it for P3D V5 but I now do 90% of my simming with MSFS.

Back then no one would have guessed that MSFS would be released for

X-Box but it was. Now MSFS 2020 probably runs a bit better on my PC than it does

on an X-Box and I probably have a few advantages over an X-Box user with MSFS

But its definitely not 10 times better on my PC than on X-Box but my PC cost me 10

times what an X-Box costs. This is the last PC I'll ever build. I'll get another 5 years

of pleasure out of it if it doesn't go belly up. Next time I'm looking to update my hardware for

FS it will be whatever the best console at that time is. If I was looking now. It would be the

best console available.

I'm mainly interested in a PC as opposed to an x-box console. I enjoy the interface a little more than the xbox. Definitely good idea though! Thanks for the reply.

Yes such a system would give very good results. A comparable Intel one as well. Last time I checked AMD was far more energy efficient though.

@jonfo https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/JXdQZw is what I am using to run MFS20, it's £780 excluding a graphics card. Adding an RTX 3060 12 GB card would push it up to about £1110 (it will need the GPU as it has no integrated graphics)
