Hi there,

Anyone manage to get the AP and FD working properly on the PC24? Great aircraft!

Cheers

I have a Hoftix on my drive for some gauges. It seems no where else available. The files are newer, than the ones on a fresh install from the installer 2016-09-08, which I have.

I actually try to fly with autopilot. I did never install the plane in P3D5 but certainly had it in v4.

I manage to follow a flightplan, climb, descend, follow manual heading. For the flightplan you need to click on the nav sel until you have the FMS.

The only thing I still search is a speed selector knob. The autopilot has a speed selector but so far, it seems not to work. Maybe someone can help here?

Excellent Sir! However unfortunately no improvement for me. Alas the aircraft is actually very usable, minorly it simply won't fly a coupled ILS and the FD is trash. So I disabled both. The speed hold works, engage with the SPD button on MCP and then tune speed with nose up nose down buttons on MCP.

I am interested to know if you can fly a coupled ILS? Any other tips to get the autopilot to where it should be?

Regards

Rest in peace HM

Long live the king!

This the IRIS model?  I have no problems with it at all.

I saw, the speed hold just holds the actual speed your flying, when you press it.

I can fly an ILS approach. Of course you have to switch to LOC1 using NAV Sel after using FMS first for the flightplan and then just press APR when heading towards the ILS path.

The autopilot started to climb to get the glideslope. I had to press ALT again to fly at level into the glideslope But then it worked until it should catch the glideslope again. Had to press APR again to catch it again. Then it continued to the runway completely automatic. I only adjusted speed, set flaps and gear out.

I'd say it has something to do with me using it on V5...

Not to worry, I've had a play around with the files and got it working pretty nice. All well 👍

Thanks for your work 😎

Good to hear. Thanks a lot making me rediscover this beauty on my drive. I never installed it in v5 and somehow it didn't make it from v4.5 to v5 like all other planes.

They ended it a few years ago, but I had it from back then... Unfortunately I don't think it's available for P3D anymore, just MSFS

I think they sold it only in 2016, when I got it from Simmarket and then it was for FSX, P3D2 or P3D3 I think. No idea, why they withdrawed such a product? They could at least give it for free now.

Well there are some problems though.

I flew a short flight of 458 nm and my tanks got empty before i reached the destination. The were filled 25 %. I ended up adding fuel (in the air) to reach my destination.

I then checked the fuel flow shown on the instruments flying with 300 kts at 10000 ft and corrected the fuel_flow_scalar from 0.70 to 0.30. With this one should reach the 1950 nm with a load of 4 pax and 1 pilot and 800 lb payload.

During my try I also got the impression, that if I add one pax with 170 lb the aircraft pulles a little to the heavier side, Should be more stable I think. I adjusted the station_load coordinates more to the center, from 1.2 to 0.6 for the second coordinate value. So far I did not try if  this fixes the problem, just an idea how to do it.

Yep have made a good few edits myself! Great airplane 👍
