RC4ToXplane and X-Plane 12

Featured Replies

I just did a test with the XP12 beta demo and RC4ToXplane--it's triggering a CTD in XPLM at startup.

It appears that XPUIPC (v2.0.5.9) is working...so I wonder if RC4ToXPlane might be made to work in XP12, maybe by recompiling with the new XPLM library??

Thanks for the heads-up.Bob

Yes, we plan to update all our X-Plane related products to adjust to changes in XP-12. That includes RC4toXPlane, PFEtoXPlane as well as Multi Crew X-Plane copilot. Free updates.

Will be looked at next week.

Just to update you on this.

Issue confirmed. Do not use the plugin right now.

We are in the process of updating it to fully support XP-12 and making very good progress.

There is a good chance it could be ready by the end of this week. Definitely by next month.

Thats great news Gerald. I am missing RC4 in XP-12 already. Where is the best place to get the update from (when its ready). DO you have a link?

Thanks

You'll be able to get it from your Simmarket account after the package is replaced.

It's currently ready and undergoing stress test for resilience.

If you want, you could request early access from support.

A revised package has just been uploaded to ensure it also works with X-Plane 12 in addition to XP-11 & 10

Get it via your Simmarket login

Hi Gerald,

Thanks for upgrading this to work with XP-12. I have been logging onto my Simmarket account for several days and downloading the file, however it doesn't appear to have been updated yet (most of the date stamps are 2015) and crashed XP-12.

Is there somewhere else I can download the updated file from?

Thanks

It appears Simmarket new interface no longer supports uploading zip files as it did before.

Contact support and we'll send you the link to download from our own website.

Thanks Gerald, I have emailed support.

Dear Gerald

How easy it is to use and install RC4TOXPLANE including the RC software?
Do I need to find XPUIPC etc too?

Thanks

The RC4toXPlane plugin is a "turnkey solution".  You just run "Setup_RC4" and it takes care of putting all the files it needs where they need to be.

It even puts a dummy "fsx.exe" file inside \X-Plane\ main installation folder so that when you install the main RC4 ATC program and it wants to know where FSX is installed, you can just point it to that dummy file.

No need to haveFSX or Prepar3D installed at all.

The main RC4 program has turned freeware recently and can be downloaded and activated from this page

Thanks! Will have a look at your program.
