  1. Yes same here, downloaded mine yesterday and it took literally seconds (presume your aware you need to install Orbx Central first)
  2. Thanks Ryan - That's interesting, I was not aware of that.
  3. I have been flying the Default Asobo Citation Longitude a lot recently. How do the cockpit textures compare to the Asobo default Citation Longitude?
  4. I am waiting for the fs-reborn phenom 300 and the synaptic/ inibuilds A220
  5. Thanks I do use Rivatuner. I will try it without. I have an AMD Radeon 7900XT and not currently using any filters (will double check that though when I am next at the PC)
  6. When I pop out a panel my frame rate takes a massive hit and it's down to about a third of what it usually is. Is there a fix or workaround for this?
  7. I am interested in purchasing this aircraft, however as others have mentioned would need to have the GTN750 integrated with the working title mod enabled first. I use the pms50.
  8. Can you get the bigger PMS GTN750 working with this aircraft or is it only the 650 that works
  9. Hi Guys, Just had a look at a few new Carenado Proline 21 tutorials. They are not very in depth, however are quite good at articulating the basics of the Proline 21 and autopilot functions. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqIFOR20uJgDFIDwO3C_2LA/videos Regards Ian
  10. Hi Richard, Thanks for your feedback. I have been doing a lot of research on these products over the last few days (mainly reading through these Caranado forums). I am leaning towards the Hawker 800XP, only because I really like this jet both inside and out. I like the cockpit layout and the fact that all the autopilot selectors are easily visible and adjustable (for example on the CJ2 the altitude knob is located down by the FMC). I am not sure if Caranado are planning to release any further updates for the Hawker due to the length of time it has been released, however if I knew for sure it would give me a bit more confidence in purchasing the Hawker. I guess its safer to go for the CJ2 and there is a lot more chance of more updates being released for the CJ2 now, however its just not quite so appealing to me as the Hawker. I did read that a small group of developers have been working on some mods to improve the functionality of the CJ2 and install the Flight1 GTN750 in the VC. This has been released, however I would be more interested in the Non GTN750 mod which has not been released yet (and not sure if it will be). Regards Ian
  11. Thanks for your feedback. I currently use FSX-SE and mainly fly PMDG aircraft so probably been spoiled with their attention to detail. With the Hawker has the initial problems been sorted? I'm referring to things like the FMC where you're way points dissappear if you select the departure airport. And if level change is selected the altitude selected is always busted? BTW have looked at the Citation but it seems kinda outdated now. Thanks
  12. Seriously considering purchasing the Hawker 850XP, however also like the 525A Citation CJ2 which hasn't long been released. I know there are a few issues with both of these regarding true system functionality and minor bugs etc. Anyone out there purchased both of these models and can give me any recommendations? Which one of these handles best, has better system functionality etc? Thanks Ian
  13. Check the FSX display options menu (under Aircraft I think) there is a check box that must be checked to enable high resolution cockpit displays. If not it will give you low resolution blurry type displays. Regards Ian Friend
  14. Try the link below. It is a general guide for Boeing aircraft however I found it quite useful. MultiScan ThreatTrack Quick Reference Guide - Boeing Regards Ian
  15. Vernon, It is probably due to the default MagVar data in FSX being out of sync with the AIRAC data. When you set the course manually and then select the 'ILS approach' in the arrivals page of the FMS, it resets the CRS to whats in the AIRAC cycle (not sure why it is setting it to 25° though). I believe if you select a 'NON ILS approach' you can tune the CRS manually (and still do an ILS approach), the CRS will stay as you set it (haven't done this myself for a while as I normally always use ILS). Regards Ian
  16. Robert, Thanks for the update. Things are looking good.
  17. Steve, Thanks for the info. Rick, FSX-SE basically functions exactly the same as FSX-MS (Original Microsoft release) except FSX-SE has been re-released by Dovetail games (believe Microsoft has sold the entertainment license to DT games) on Steam. Dovetail games have recompiled the code and tweaked it for better performance, also started to address a few bugs. They intend to keep working on this so it sounds promising. So far the majority of people are reporting higher frame rates and smother graphics.
  18. Never purchased anything from Steam before, however considering purchasing FSX-SE after all the good reports it is receiving. Can anyone tell me if I make a purchase can I download the full install files (and save a copy for future install) or do I need to connect to Steam and install 'online'? Can anyone also advise what the size of the download is? Thanks Ian
  19. Herve, Yes thank you, that is what I actually meant. Regards
  20. Dan/Herve, Thanks for your comments and information Herve, It sounds like you are onto something good with this, especially if future editions can correct runway headings. I will try this out and have a play with some single files first. Thanks for making this (and all your other stuff including your corrective MagVar data which I use) available for us all to use. Thanks Ian
  21. Has anyone had any experience using ILS Inspector/Editor v6.12? http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html The program is by the same author of the MagVar data and appears to be a very useful program. It is supposed to fix up all the outdated ILS and runway data in FSX. It also claims to have the ability to align ILS and runway data with an AIRAC cycle so the AIRAC and FSX data are in sync. I was trying to find some instructions or documentation on the program, however I can't seem to find much info. If this can align data from an AIRAC cycle with FSX then I am assuming that it will also fix the incorrect runway numbers that occur in FSX due to the magnetic north shifting over the last few years. Previously when I have come across these errors I have looked for an updated AFCAD scenery file, or if I cant find use ADE to edit the Airport info. I would like to give this a try however because it makes so many changes I am a bit worried that it may cause issues with FSX (even though there is a backup performed) and I may need to rebuild FSX which would take me days with all the addons etc. Would appreciate comments from anyone that has used this (good or bad)? Thanks
  22. Congratulations Kyle, Always a wealth of knowledge on this forum... Regards Ian
  23. Robert,Thanks for being so upfront and honest with all the info you have shared with us. I will be interested to see a PMDG product working in X-Plane, especially the 737NGX (I have both 800/900 and 600/700 expansion), however I am more than happy with FSX for the foreseeable future.Kind Regards

Paul,Go for it. I bought a copy of REX2 about a week ago and paid only $20 for it as it was on special. I installed with medium settings and have not noticed any drop in frame rates. What I have noticed is the major improvement in weather and sky/cloud textures, also includes new runway and taxi/apron textures which makes a big difference. There are so many options you can configure and I have only just scratched the surface. It makes flying so much more enjoyable and realistic, well worth the money in my opinion, especially if you get it for $20.
