September 10, 20223 yr Hello, When running MSFS on a network, I assume 2 downloads/licenses will be required. Looking to convert my home cockpit to MSFS, while trying to estimate how much this will cost me. Can anyone enlighten me about installing and running 2 copies at the same time? I use WidevieW, and noticed they have a version for MSFS 2020. Thanks for any help. Larry Cox
September 11, 20223 yr Commercial Member I have two copies running for testing purposes, but I don't have them connected in any way. Can't comment on wide view. From what I can tell, you can only buy and run one single license of MSFS per Microsoft account. So I had to buy the second one on Steam and create a second MS account in the process. And so on and so forth, if you need more than the two. Both computers need full access to the Internet, so when in online scenery mode, your bandwidth requirements will double. That is usually not a problem, just something to be aware of. You can still run SimConnect clients on other computers in your network with MSFS. LORBY-SI
September 11, 20223 yr I have 2 copies of MSFS on 2 pc’s and use WidevieW. Server pc : front view / Prosim 737 / WidevieW server / PSXT+ RT Client 1 pc : left view / WidevieW cliënt / PSXT + RT Client 2 : several Prosim modules / EHID Disable weather synchronization in WidevieW as the default weather is exactly the same on multiple pc’s ( so sync’d on the displays) Note : my server uses the Prosim FM while the Left view client uses the default A320. That is to see lights on the ground when it is dark. January 11, 20233 yr Author Sorry about late response, still trying to decide about conversion to MSFS. Thank you GSalden for you insight, but I was inquiring about licensing issue and have networked FSX for years. I am looking to run MSFS is similar fashion but the internet is VAGUE and have many add-ons right now. Thanks! Larry Larry Cox

You need seperate XBox Live accounts as you can only use 1 with each copy of MSFS. Scenery Addons I copy from one oC to the other. And 2x PSXT Live Traffic + 1x Real Traffic + 2x AIG ac. January 11, 20233 yr I run MSFS on 3 x 4K tvs on a single pc only. With my 11900K @5.3ghz+ RTX4090 I am able to run MSFS on high 4K settings with no problems. In my view networking MSFS on 2 or more pcs would be unneccessary, costly and cumbersome creating all sorts of pc/msfs management problems and issues. For the cockpit MIP screens I also run Prosim737 on a second low-end computer with 2 GPUs. This is an easy, low admin networking solution for my home cockpit. Just get a high end PC for MSFS and you're fine with a miltiple screen setup.

I agree, at least from my understanding and perception of things, that if you can run any sim on a single PC, then it seems to me to be logically more efficient and practical .
