There are so many topics about updates that I am totally mixed up.  Could somebody clear this all up for me.  Thank u.

Currently all this is about sim update 10 BETA and some speculations when the official SU10 will be available. If you you are not in beta, I would not worry too much. As usual, the sim will update automatically when the official version is out.

If you didn't purposely take the steps to join the beta then there is NO update. In that case once the beta testing is finished when you launch the sim, there will be a mandatory update that you just say yes to. I assume from your question you are not taking part in the beta test. Beta testing basically means trying new things out for the developer. Some work, some don't and therefore new updates are regularly released. If you didn't actively participate in this testing, then you will only be required to update when testing is finished and the sim prompts you to, of course once Sim Upadate 10 is released.

thank u folks, helped e out.  No I am not in beta like both of u mentioned, so I will just wait for the mandatory update.  I saw forgot somewhere, that the World Update 10, which is supposed to be for Canada is coming Sept 27th, but I guess that is a separate issue..
