September 20, 20223 yr I have the IRIS DA 42 and it works well. Carenado aircraft will work in P3D5 if you use https://carenado.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046625614-Installing-Carenado-aircraft-in-P3Dv5 and follow their instructions. September 21, 20223 yr Moderator If you have P3Dv5 installed but not P3Dv4 this is the command to run that will insert the entry in the Registry to 'fool' applications into thinking that P3Dv4 is installed. Copy and paste in its entirety into a Notepad file and save as P3Dv4.reg. Then place it on your desktop. The SetupPath entry should point to your P3Dv5 root folder. Change as required. Note the double \\ is correct. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4] "License"="Academic" "SetupPath"="D:\\P3Dv5" Some applications such as AiLIghts Reborn don't like having a P3Dv4 entry in the Registry if P3Dv4 itself is not installed. The easiest way to remove it is another desktop reg file. Name this one DeleteP3Dv4.reg and paste the following into it... Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4] In short, with only v5 installed only run the reg file to generate the P3Dv4 registry entry when you want to use the Vertx Config App utility. Once you've finished with it the entry can be deleted with the other reg. This is essential if you have Ai LIghts Reborn. I appreciate this may appear daunting to those reluctant to go into the Registry but it's a simple command easily executed. As always, backup the Registry first.
