Vortex Generators

The default Cub and the Vskylabs Maule show VGs visually modeled, anybody know if these influence the flight model?

In XP, one would model VGs by modifying directly 2D airfoil properties.

So, if the stall speeds of the simulated aircraft are correct, then probably the aircraft designer took into consideration the VGs effect in modeling the max coefficient of lift of wing airfoils.

The visual and the flight model are two independent entities. You can have a F-14 flight model visualized by a brick and vice versa. You can load any aircraft in PlaneMaker and toggle between visual and flight model from the "Expert" --> "Invisible Parts" menu.

Looking at the PA-18's flight model, I see no vortex generators, so their effect is either accounted for in its stall behavior or not at all.
