To be fair, I think this poll would be more meaningful once the NVidia Game Ready driver is released with the fix for MSFS. As of now, only the NVidia Studio driver has been released with the fix for MSFS.

So the memory management optimizer isn't enabled for a lot of people in DX 12 at the moment, because they aren't using the NVidia Studio driver.  Thus, for a lot of people, DX 12 in the SU 10 release cannot match DX 12 in SU 10  beta 1 if they are using the Game Ready driver.

Worse judging on my benchmarks, FPS average down 3fps, may not seem a lot but every little FPS helps in VR.

Hard to judge actual performance visually as beta 1 was so long ago I've forgotten exactly what it was like.

Edit: using latest Studio Driver with the fix.

Do we know for certain that the Studio driver activates the memory optimizations within the sim? Asobo needs to make a definitive statement about this.

Matt Nischan, the Working Title lead, says it should activate the memory optimizations:

A lot of people using the Studio drivers and DX 12 are reporting it's very smooth and there are very few stutters, albeit, the reports are kind of all over the place on FPS, with some saying FPS is about the same as DX 11, and some saying FPS is much better than DX 11.

I have the new Studio driver. And DX 11 has fewer stutters than DX 12 in VR. For me as soon as I turn on DX 12 and reboot MSFS, stutters appear. They go away  when reverting back to DX 11. But only in VR do these stutters happen when using DX12
