FSX Landclass Dilemma ??

Featured Replies

Do I need to buy any additional landclass? Here is my confusion. I used FSGenesis landclass and mesh in FS9. Great addon.. In FSX I am using UTX and cloud 9's Xclass for US. However not sure if Xclass is landclass. Have been considering getting FSG mesh but was wondering if I need to get Justin's landclass as well. If I get FSG landclass will it conflict with the other UT and Xclass. Appreciate any comments, Carl

According to the UT-X manual, you can layer different landclass vendors betweeen several differnt layers of the UT-X landclass. Look in the manual. I personnally have FSG US LC sandwiched just about the UT-X "vegetation" layer (as recommended in the manual) in the FSX scenery library. Sorry, I can't speak intellegenlty to XClass as I've never owned it. Personally, for the US, yes UT-X and FSG_LC go nicely together.

Thanks Al,I was reading the UT-X manual and wasn't sure that meant all landclass. Since you have good experience that it works I guess I will need to take advantage of Justin's July 4th sale and get the mesh and landclass. If XClass interfares with the FSG and UT-X I guess I will just have to uninstall it. Carl

I have all three. I installed UTX last and have had no problems. Everything looks fine to me.
