METAR now available TDS GTN Xi

Featured Replies

Just a heads up if you're using the TDS GTN Xi's - METAR readout is now included - just download the latest TDS app from the My Account page:

https://tdssim.com/Account/welcome

Once in the sim, you can view the METAR at airports that support it (typically ASOS or AWOS equipped) by going to the Waypoints/Info --> Airports --> Wx data.  Works worldwide.  This is live weather from the real world.

Dual setups work fine to check multiple sources (say for alternate airports /comparison)

Yep - the update was sort of slipped into one of the recent TDS updates hehe.  If you're like me and rarely update your addons you may have missed this.  Just adds another layer of realism.  I don't use VR but I imagine it would be especially helpful there so you don't have to open another window or take off your headset.

Great news and thanks for the heads up! I had no idea this was possible - didn't see it in any of the recent release notes. But it's a great feature.
