Even if I have the windshield ant-ice on well before entering favorable icing conditions, the windshield will ice over.  All the other anti-ice systems seem to work. No visible ice, or performance loss. I've tried auto and manual use of the windshield anti-ice system, and despite the enunciator showing it working, the windshield gathers and retains ice.

 

Does this feature work on this aircraft?

Had the same issue today. No effect of the W/S anti-ice.

If you are using AAU1 beta there's an issue with anti icing right now.

Nope, everything vanilla.

There seems to be indeed an issue with the windshield anti ice. Someone in the official forum found a workaround to fix the issue:

So, lets wait for a bugfix soon.

I found the solution! It´s in the systems.cfg!

Default entry is

[DEICE_SYSTEM]
structural_deice_type =2
structural_deice_rate=-0.00128
windshield_deice_rate=-0.002227

you must only delete the minus sign

changed entry is

[DEICE_SYSTEM]
structural_deice_type =2
structural_deice_rate=0.00128
windshield_deice_rate=0.002227

That´s it!
