November 17, 20223 yr I had to blow my computer out of the water and I used to have P2A working just fine. Now when I go to assign a button for PTT in P2A it identifies the correct button, but when I try to test it out in the grammar window it doesn't recognize the button when pressed. If I click on PTT with the mouse it works fine. I have the latest version and this is for MSFS, which I don't think it matters since I'm simply trying to test it with the grammar window. I have tried with MSFS connected sitting in the cockpit. P2A connects and all looks good. Any suggestions as to what I might be missing? Thanks.

I don't think the PTT assignment works for Grammer training. Doesn't on mine but works for flying.
November 19, 20223 yr Author I finally was able to go back and work with this some more. You are correct, of course, the PTT does not work on the grammar screen. I did make progress. When I'm sitting in the cockpit and push the button the PTT turns green, but then stays green until I click it with a mouse. Not sure if that is a P2A issue, but I'm thinking I may have a conflict with something else. Randy
November 19, 20223 yr Commercial Member Sounds like something is blocking the Release event for the PTT button. Make sure that button is not assigned to anything in the SIM. Be aware that the button number shown in P2A may not be the same button number the SIM uses for the same button. Dave

Dave Hello Dave, I have noticed the same issue in XP11. All is connected and working, and if I push the PTT button with my mouse the mic is recognised and works. I have noticed that in XP the particular button is 8 on the joystick picture but when I push this in P2ATC it is 4. Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to manually change and save this in P2ATC. I have tried 2 different joysticks and same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks Edited December 19, 20223 yr by Scottish Wings
December 19, 20223 yr Commercial Member The numbers are different in P2A vs SIMs. Just press the button to set it and let P2A worry about the number. Then don't use that button in the SIM or elsewhere, regardless of the number. Dave

December 19, 20223 yr Commercial Member If the problem is that after setting the PTT button, pressing it doesn't activate PTT, then you may need to uncheck the "Require P2A or SIM focus" option at the bottom of the Btns tab of Config. Dave
