GSX Deicing feature

Im thinking about getting gsx for the deicing feature, because right now if I am sitting at the gate and its snowing the airplane gets covered in ice and there is no way to remove it besides turning on the anti ice (not allowed on ground in the a320 and 737).  My question for those with gsx, does the deice actually remove the visual icing and set the aircraft icing level back to to 0%?

That would assume the visual ice/snow is there in the first place. I have not seen it yet.

Seen it plenty and winter hasn't even started yet!  Best you can do is enable window heat on the ground but it's very slow to respond in the 738.

The airframe also picks up icing, the only way to clear it is to either set the icing level to zero in dev mode or takeoff and then turn on the anti icing system.  Both not realistic options, does anyone know if GSX can actually remove ice?

I liked that feature in the Fslabs (P3D). Would be fantastic to have this in MSFS, even if it's just a purely visual thing.

I like flying with weather related consequences, even though the icing isnt that realistic its still better than nothing at all.  Flying with it off would totally break the immersion for me.

We can only turn off ice protection on the plane, sending the standard command, exactly like in P3D, where even if we could write to weather variables, the wasn't any icing simulation.
