is there a view straight down in X 11?( no add ons, they crash my sim)

I miss  smaller airstrips sometimes...GPS doesn't lead you exactly to the runway as you know...

thanks

What do you mean? A top down view?

If you mean that, press SHIFT + 4 and then keep the UP arrow key pressed, the view will become top down.

"Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

Maybe the moving map? 'm' is the default key for that, I think.

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

There's a product called X-Camera from Stick and Rudder Studios that will meet your requirements. There's a free version you can use to familiarise yourself with the product.

You assign a key(/combination) to a view number. You could create a category "Exterior" and assign, say, "SHIFT-d" to view number 20, to look down. Profiles are available to download if you prefer.

There are lots of options: smooth transition or jump, fixed or temporary. Too many to mention.

The views work during replays and when the sim. is paused, so you can create videos or make some screen shots.

The developer is active on the forums so help won't be far away.

do you know about binding view hotkeys?

ctrl+numpad key to store a view

then that numpad key to go back to it.

might be shift+numpad (I always forget)
