Anybody suddenly getting freezes?

Featured Replies

Hi:

I fly a 2 times today with no issues.  Now, suddenly, when I go hit "fly" after selecting the airports and airplanes, the sim just hangs.  Fly button is greyed out, there is music, but I left it for 2 hours and it just won't load.

I tried in safe mode, removing rolling catch, flying off-line, removed community folder.  Nothing.  I've made no changes either.

Thanks.

Not here, all fine so far

Same problem here, although the sim doesn't hang, as the aircraft description changes every other second and the task manager tells me that MSFS is active. I am now on my third attempt after having selected the plane and the departure airport. The blue line at the bottom of the screen is at the right side and can't go any further, yet the sim won't load (now 30 minutes into my third attempt to start MSFS). Maybe MSFS wants to tell me that I should go to bed now. It's close to midnight 🙂

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

Well, sorry...I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one.  I still can't fly.  Every time I go to "fly", I just hang.  I hear the music but it won't go any further.  I've tried logging out of steam and xbox app.

I'm using the steam version here.

I'm using the Microsoft Store version, still no joy

Correction: my fourth attempt was for some strange reason successful. Suddenly the step from selecting aircraft and airport to actually fly was superfast, it just took some 15 seconds. Very strange!!

Glad it worked for you.  I think I’m going to give up on this hobby.

No, don't !! Try again tomorrow, there must be a reason for our problems and as human beings we should be smart enough to locate the problem and solve it...maybe 😉😉

I figured it out.  I need help please.

If I load the sim w/ DATA on, I can't get the sim to load when I hit "fly".

If I load the sim w/ DATA off the sim will load.

AFTER I'm in the cockpit, I have to go back to the menu and turn DATA on for the sim to function w/ live WX, traffic, etc.

Any help please?

Thanks @Glenn Fitzpatrick.

I was wondering the same thing or if the update broke something.
