December 9, 20223 yr I used GSX back in the other sim a few years ago and really liked it. In MSFS, I fly primarily with the Fenix and am happy with the default pushback but am interested in better looking features of GSX. I have a few questions for you all since it has been a while. 1) Do I need a GSX profile for every airport? I see there are profiles out there so I am not sure what that would be for since i never used GSX profiles in previous sims. I'd be needing to download so many since I have a ton of 3rd party airports 2) Are there any realistic sounding voice files out there other than default? In the other sim I recall there were a few different voice sets that you can use that didn't sound robotic. 3) I heard there was some sort of issue with GSX and Fenix causing hot brakes or something. Has that been fixed? 4) As it relates to the Fenix loading process via their EFB, how would GSX change the loading process? Would I still use the EFB? I don't want to mess up weights, fuel, etc. Thanks! If the default GSX vehicle locations conflicting with static objects never bothered you in P3D, then it won't here. 2) Are there any realistic sounding voice files out there other than default? In the other sim I recall there were a few different voice sets that you can use that didn't sound robotic. 3) I heard there was some sort of issue with GSX and Fenix causing hot brakes or something. Has that been fixed? I fly the Fenix all the time. This has happened to me 1 time. I have no idea why. My theory is that I forgot to reset the 5 popped circuit breakers behind the jump seat. One of those has to do with brake temps. 4) As it relates to the Fenix loading process via their EFB, how would GSX change the loading process? Would I still use the EFB? I don't want to mess up weights, fuel, etc. The only difference is that you use the MCDU (Config ->Fuel) to set the fuel in the airplane after the GSX truck is in place and tells you to add fuel. As soon as that is complete, I usually go to mass & balance, do an "instant" load, and the carry on while GSX boards passengers and cargo. But it's not necessary by any means. 2) No, but the voices are actually quite okay and are also regionally different (accents and such). I think they are pre-recorded, at least they don't sound robotic like ATC. 3) Never had that issue and I regularly fly the Fenix. 4) GSX doesn't actually load fuel or weight on custom 3rd party aircrafts (unless integrated by the aircraft dev, as of now only the Maddog does that). You still use the EFB as usual. The only difference is that you need to wait loading the aircraft (via the EFB) until the fuel truck tells you so, in order for it to be able to read the amount of fuel and simulate refueling time. But it's only a visual simulation, so even if you don't it will not interfere with the aircraft weight / fuel etc. at all and therefore won't mess up anything. If you are interested in immersion and better and more custom (like regional logos) visuals and if you like an automatic pushback that you do not have to control, GSX is just what you need. I'd call it an immersion and pushback tool. Edited December 9, 20223 yr by Fiorentoni For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Can I still do that? Can I still do that? Absolutely. You can speed up the (visual) boarding process, too, by choosing a higher "passenger density". I think the highest setting means about 5 mins for boarding 180 pax or something along those lines. Also you can always stop all the GSX stuff by choosing "reset position", then you can just start the pushback. So you never have to wait for GSX if you don't want to. So do you go into the Fenix, load the plane / fuel via "instant", then let GSX load the plane accordingly? Or do you do GSX first then load via the EFB? Boarding is done or almost done when I'm ready to call for pushback. 1) Call for refuelling first. 2) GSX will tell you when to use the EFB to load the plane. 3) Select FAST in the EFB and then tell GSX to start boarding.
