Weather Presets Greyed Out

Featured Replies

I have been flying with MSFS Live Weather for awhile now.

However yesterday I wanted to use one of the various Weather Presets I have available but I found when I turned Live Weather Off in Settings & went to the Presets, they were greyed out.

Anyone else finding this/ know a fix?

Did you start from a saved flight?

if you started from a saved flight, you have to edit the xxxxxx.FLT file manually in notepad before loading it in the sim.. under weather settings, edit WeatherCanBeLive=True [formerly false].. this should make custom weather editable in a loaded flight..

It was a newly created flight.

The other thing I noticed is that during the flight - accessing the Weather/Time icon in the Icon row at the top of the screen - I used to be able to go in there & change the Time of Day & the Weather, but now those options are greyed out too.

I will have to take a closer look at my settings.
