screen and plane bouncing

Good morning everyone trying to help me. Special thanks to Bjoern stating : The effect of turbulence is overdone in XP12! Yesterday I decided to give a trial just for convincing myself that my PC is not involved in this matter. I patiently downloaded a fresh copy of the sim. After the routine numerous hours of download (I did go to sleep during the process! 🙂 ) this morning I started the program and voilà, the effect of bouncing is persistent! Now, perhaps the term bouncing is not the best to describe the visual effect on my screen. Therefore let me try by saying soft up and down and left to right movements of the ground view as well as the plane viewed from the tail in chase mode. I suggest other simmers set their configuration in very cloudy windy conditions and see for themselves if it is a true situation. Thank you all !

It is probably the camera you are using for the outside view, instead of selecting chase view, use the circle view (shift4) You can rotate around the aircraft with circle view if you want the view from the back like chase.

I will check your suggestion as soon a scenery update finishes the eternal downloading! Thank you

Goran's suggestion about Flight Models per frame makes sense... There's also that possibility with the camera(?)

Finally, what are your system specs? 20 fps is low - in the twilight between a playable sim and a nightmare... Inflight and under some meteo conditions XP12 definitely overdoes turbulence too.

Turbulence effects in XP were always very poorly modeled, I guess Austin tried to fine tune it for XP12, but then when it was first released people, mostly those also using MFS, started complaining that XP was now the most "on-rails" sim, which must have triggered some alert siren an the LR headquarters and then, all of a sudden, there was this ridiculous turbulence and shear:

Hi! Excellent news!!! RedPxl had it right! The camera I assigned on my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is the culprit.

When I activate external view with the lateral button, bouncing immediately in windy weather occurs. Immediately, when I press Shift 4  all is gone! Smooth as silk beside normal turbulence's effects! I am glad everybody contributed to to this matter. I hope it will help others. And for Cagerini, my fps runs around 40! Since we are talking fps is there a setting to have this little fps window in upper left place to be bigger and more easier readable? Thank you all and Merry Xmas and excellent Holiday Season!
