December 20, 20223 yr Good morning (+7 here) Anybody could kindly indicate me what I should do to remedy to this matter? Upon launching the simulator, the Cessna 172 G1000 in this case, all the screen and the plane are bouncing up and down and left to right and so on. Not pleasant situation for my eyes! 🙂 Is there a fix? Thank you for your kind attention JP Reuland
December 20, 20223 yr Author Well apparently nobody so far encountered this problem. Therefore I decided to make a backup copy from my X-Plane 12 folder and install again the program by downloading it! We shall see. X-Plane 11.5 and MSFS 2020 are working perfectly. Thank you JP Reuland
December 20, 20223 yr Relax! Patience is a virtue 😁. Have you accidentally switched on "Cinema Verite"? As I'm not on my Sim-PC, you have to find out yourself, where in the menu that is. 🙂 Maybe somewhere in the views. Watch my YT-channel: https://www.youtube.com/@flyingcarpet1340/ Customer of X-Plane, Aerofly, Flightgear, MSFS.
December 20, 20223 yr Author well flying_carpet thank you very much for trying to help. I stopped downloading and installed again my saved copy and checked cinema verite but it still bounces. Screen and plane. In cockpit, the panel is almost normal but the view outside through windows is still bouncing.
December 20, 20223 yr What FPS do you have when the bouncing happens? ( SHIFT + CTRL + F to show FPS, first number on the left) "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
December 20, 20223 yr Just now, Jean Paul Reuland said: 26 and on the ground everything seems normal Wait a sec...you're claiming it's only bouncing around when in flight? Are you specifically referring to the effect of the turbulence? Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...
December 20, 20223 yr Author I don't think this is turbulences simulations. Why would the background vieuw bounces as well? JP Reuland
December 20, 20223 yr Yes, a video would help. Meanwhile, make sure the weather is set to "Clear" to rule out turbulence. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
December 20, 20223 yr Commercial Member In the Settings menu, under "General", "check flight models per frame". If your CPU is a little weak, X-Plane tries to compensate for it. The result is a bouncy aircraft. Increasing the flight models per frame will fix that.
December 20, 20223 yr Author Good morning. Thank you Goran. I tried the slider totally to the left or to the right. There is no impact at all. I have noticed that in the Flight Config window, if I put the weather to clear, the simulator runs very smooth. As soon I install live weather or I move the slider from weather to the right, the general bouncing occurs. In fact from left to right until VFR scattered, screen and plane are totally stable. When on VFR broken bouncing starts, general view and plane viewed from outside. Back in cockpit view, bouncing is normal, light turbulence effect. Again I tested X-Plane 11.5 and all goes normal.
December 21, 20223 yr The effect of turbulence is overdone in XP12. Known bug/feature. Edited December 21, 20223 yr by Bjoern 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
December 22, 20223 yr Author Good morning everyone trying to help me. Special thanks to Bjoern stating : The effect of turbulence is overdone in XP12! Yesterday I decided to give a trial just for convincing myself that my PC is not involved in this matter. I patiently downloaded a fresh copy of the sim. After the routine numerous hours of download (I did go to sleep during the process! 🙂 ) this morning I started the program and voilà, the effect of bouncing is persistent! Now, perhaps the term bouncing is not the best to describe the visual effect on my screen. Therefore let me try by saying soft up and down and left to right movements of the ground view as well as the plane viewed from the tail in chase mode. I suggest other simmers set their configuration in very cloudy windy conditions and see for themselves if it is a true situation. Thank you all ! JP Reuland
