I purchased this product today, firstly really cleverly done and I enjoy the ATC background.

Today using FSX I was over in the Paris Area and despite tuning in Paris control I could here ATC from Amsterdam APP instead, this was also true when over South of France in the Bordeaux area it broadcasted Amsterdam APP.

Whilst on the ground in EDDL I tuned in ground and then tower and each time I could then hear Dublin ATC.

Appreciate any thoughts or guidance.

Hi, yes FS ATC Chatter is a little gem.

Sounds like everything is working as it should for you.

For a given ATC facility (Ground, Tower etc.) the app will always play chatter from the entire region no matter which specific location you are at within that region. For example, when in Europe and tuned to Ground you will hear chatter from the European Ground sample set regardless of whether you are in Germany, France etc. The samples are anonymized as much as possible to not reveal their location origin, but the controller’s accent is sometimes quite revealing 😉

For me that never really mattered, the app adds so much to the immersion regardless.

Thank you very much for the reply, that makes sense however I hope one day there will be an opportunity to have specific ATC assigned to the actual airport you are at, granted I acknowledge it is impossible to simulate every single airport in the world and of course some airport and/or countries prohibit such recordings.

As @SuperKaro2014 points out it plays chatter from the entire region. One of the features I want to add soon is the ability to filter it by Country. That said, we could still use more volunteers to fill in more countries. Although we have a lot of clips they tend to be concentrated in a relatively small number of countries. This is partly due to the fact that the volunteers have their country preferences and it is also due to the fact that LiveATC.net does not have good feeds in all countries. We even have to contend with the additional fact that some countries like the U.K. prohibit recording ATC communications. That is why there are no clips from the U.K.
