January 10, 20233 yr Ugh! So I really thought my 2022 medical woes were behind me... 3 surgeries and 3 doses of general anesthesia really took a toll on me. Despite that I got myself through Physical therapy and back into the gym. Despite eating better and working out I kept losing weight. Then yesterday I had an excruciating pain in my gut so called the surgeon. He saw me at 2:30 yesterday afternoon. Bloodwork was done by 6pm and I am leaving the house in a bit for open surgery to fix what I ruptured from the robotic surgery... Apparently I tore the incision site and part of my GI tract is incarcerated. Not the only part of me to be to jail LOL!!! Good times! And lucky me it also hits 10 days into the new year so I have to hit all my deductibles again. Double Yay!!! Oh well, not much I can do about it other than take it on the chin and move forward again but I mean come on... 4 surgeries in 11 months is a lot for anyone to endure but this too shall pass. Just what I like to call a PIT (point in time) but nothing permanent. It's like getting a flat tire right after you pass pit entry, it just means you have to limp around the whole track for another lap... This is my flat tire after pit entry 😞 Hope to be back in a few days post-op with a good report! Edited January 10, 20233 yr by psolk Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

January 10, 20233 yr Oh Paul! Wishing only the best for you. Hard to figure out why it rains on some people and the sun shines on others. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.

Noel Thank you Noel, I know how hard 2022 was for you as well so I am hoping your 2023 starts better than this.... 3:30 am out here and I'm laying here counting celling tiles but the surgery was a success. Another few weeks and I can drive and lift more than 5 pounds too so just need to be "patient" something us simmers are known for 😉 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

January 11, 20233 yr Author Thank you Luis, Noel, Hans and Christopher for the kind words... Ironically, I will post this here but none of my co-workers know, I'd never post it to "social media" so this is really my only outlet... Going to try to get back on some work calls today to shift the focus off the discomfort. Thank you!! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
