January 20, 20233 yr Still hanging around Chicago. Flew over KMDW on one of my recent test flights around the area and thought it looked pretty good, so came back for a visit in the H145. This is DD's KMDW, and very fine it is. They seem to have done right by the Windy City, what with KORD, KMDW and the Cityscape. Haven't been out in the H145 in a while. I was mad keen when it first came out and signed up straight away. I'd really enjoyed (and still do) the H135. At first I was well impressed but to be honest, I'm not much of a fan these days. I got fed up with what felt like weekly updates, and I hate discord so trying to keep track of any info about the thing is an issue for me. Plus, is it actually officially released yet even or is it still a beta after 18 months or more? And for me, it just feels a bit too clever for its own good. I'm really not that interested in learning all the systems, and the H135 feels more comfortable to me generally. And now, with all the other various options available I'm not sure I'm ever going to bother learning all about it. But I can still get it off the ground and buzz about a bit so here it is. (and talking about such things, is it just me (always a strong possibility) or is the Bell 407 a wobbly pig of a beast to fly? - I really struggle with it and yet I'm happy in things like the 47G). Anyway, here we are waiting for the birds to fly by and get out of the way and off we go Lots of nice detail, as usual for DD, Thought I'd check out those trains Now, those of you who disapprove of terminal interiors and other "wasteful" features - look away now! yeah yeah, I know, "it's not supposed to be a train sim". That's actually one of the things I miss most about XP - the road and rail traffic in XP is streets ahead (sorry) of what we have in MSFS. I've actually spent whole sessions just driving around on the freeways around Seattle and LA in XP. I'd love to do that in MSFS So let's have a look around the airport proper Check your bags and then we'll be off Another busy airport. I'm really loving the AIG AI stuff - absolute magic And back outside again I did go on for a trip around downtown in the H145, and I'll grab some shots of that and post them tomorrow. If you've got a machine that can handle it, I can definitely recommend all the DD products for this area, as well as the AIG system. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

January 21, 20233 yr Stunning shots Andy. I agree, we’re in an era of desktop simulation I couldn’t possibly have dreamt of back in 1982. Jack Sawyer
