Columbia River (KPDX - KCZK)

Recommended Posts

I'm flying two legs today - but only have time for screenshots for one at the moment.  I'm flying the DHC2 from Portland, OR to Goldendale, WA with a stop in Cascade Locks State airport.  I really love this livery and it wouldn't be unheard of for a Canuck to be down in these parts so please enjoy this flight up the beautiful Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.

Don't be afraid to fly VFR out of Portland - the controllers don't bite

Grabbed a transition from Troutdale (remember all you need is two way radio comms with the tower to enter the class Delta)

Highway 14 via the East Camas Slough Bridge (I believe it's pronounced like slaw but I've also heard it like slew)

Always the magenta...but I'm not totally following it today!

It's a great day for a flight!  Low N Slow!

I just love the slight contour in the runway

Stunning scenery, and always great flying with someone "in the know."
