FSTraffic vs PSXT/AIG - stutters

Featured Replies

Just curious for those using FStraffic, how is the stuttering on short final?  I am using PSXT/AIG with Real Traffic and I love it.  However, I get stutters on short final a lot of the time and that can really ruin a flight.  Do people have this on FStraffic?

Also, for those who have experienced stuttering on short final, what have you done to resolve it?  Fly without traffic?  I am curious because I have gotten smooth flights only to come up stuttering at about 500ft or below.  Any help or advice would be awesome!

I’ll check this out tonight. Is it safe to assume that if I am running PSXT w/real traffic and AIG models, the performance I get has nothing to do with PSXT and Real Traffic, but only with AIG?  Or does PSXT and RT effect traffic?

Regarding PSXT and RT It seems to be even deeper than that...I've found that with static only aircraft there is very little affect if any on performance. As soon as live aircraft (moving traffic directed by PSXT) is introduced sim performance is degraded. PSXT and RT themselves use very little resource and should have almost no performance impact.

I should think your 12700K would just plow through with more than ample resources to handle traffic. My 6700K on the other hand is another story, but with that said, I still get pretty good performance.
