Shortcut Doesn't Work

Featured Replies

This is an odd one that I have never experienced before, but I'm sure someone here will have the answer  Once I have loaded a flight I then have about a dozen or so apps to initiate, including FSCom, ATC chatter, FSLTL, the CDU, etc etc all of which sit on the desktop as shortcuts. One of the shortcuts (FSCom) that initiates the CPFlight MCP/EFIS, no longer works and gives an error message saying DLL file cannot be found. The shortcut connects to the FSCom file in the main CPFlight folder that was installed onto the C: drive, as recommended. For some reason, if I launch the MCP by clicking the FSCom file that resides on the C: drive, then it works fine! But for some reason the same shortcut to that file doesn't work.  Has anyone any idea what the problem is here? Thanks.

Open the Properties of the FSCom shortcut and see if the "Start in" folder is the one containing your missing DLL.

Thanks for the input Jay. It now seems to be OK... not sure what I've done, other than just to retry things. But seems to be OK now. Cheers.
