Anyone still having Default ATC issues?

Recommended Posts

It has happened recently and while the voice stops the instructions in the log do not. I missed an instruction because of this, and my IFR was discontinued mid-flight.

Same here as well. Also, from this point forward i would only hear my responses and none of the ATC controllers (had to leave the ATC window open to know they were talking to me after it happened). Weird!!

Just lost my voices again tonight (ATC and traffic only, I can hear myself).

Maybe something’s up server side, after a very long stretch without issues I’ve had it happen a few times on recent flights.

I have discovered that by never using Azure voices and only offline, it works all the time.

That's it!  Thank You!👍😜  Looks like all along it's been an Azure issue. When there's a connection issue Azure fails to failover to offline mode for ATC.  Just like online AI and more recently weather the Azure connection has had a problem since the 40th Anniversary release.

Occasionally ATC controllers and AI traffic stop responding here. The amount of AI traffic contributes to the problem to occur or not. I found, and I always hope that no other traffic gets handed over to the next radar station before me, because thats when it happens. When an AI speaks (on the new freq) before my co-pilot can contact the new controller then I know the ATC will go silent.

Still waiting for the A310 update. They mentioned in december they fixed their problem with ATC not functioning in the A310.
