February 18, 20233 yr I am having a discontinuity "issue" with the CJ4. I am unable to overwrite it with the waypoint below it or delete it. How am I supposed to handle these discontinuities? Here is my route... KDEN/08 BAYLR6 TEHRU DCT HERRM DCT ETL DCT KTEX/09 I definitely had a discontinuity before ETL. When it says DCT above does that mean I should change to fly direct to that waypoint? Because right now the AP gets lost as soon as it runs across the discontinuity. And when I did go direct to ETL after HERRM the ATC barked at me 100 times to change heading to go back to HERRM. I feel like there must be something obvious I am messing up. Thanks guys. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
February 18, 20233 yr If you have entered DCT in your CJ4 flight plan, that may explain the problem. DCT means DIRECT, as in TEHRU direct to HERRM, but when you enter your flight plan in the CJ4, you should not include the DCT. So your route in the CJ4 should read: BAYLR6 TEHRU HERRM ETL I hope this helps. February 19, 20233 yr No way you should have had a discontinuity before ETL because you are going direct there from HERRM. You should only see them when procedures don't go straight into the Flightplan or go straight from the FP to procedures. While you get used to it though I would be less worried about anything MS ATC tells you as it is hopeless. Be more concerned that it is doing what you want/expect...
