Missing Coronado Bridge in San Diego

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm looking for some advice. I have ORBX NA Southern California and LatinVFR KSAN v2. I recently landed there and missed the Coronado Bridge. I tried to shift the sceneries, LVFR KSAN on top, ORBX all down but so far no luck. Is this some kind of incompatibility between the two sceneries? I couldn't find any advice how to configure the two, which obviously both depict downtown San Diego. Which one should I choose?

The ORBX scenery also has KSAN files, which I set to .off except for the *KSAN_PLC.bgl, which I don't know what it contains. Does someone know what PLC means?

I read, the ORBX KSAN airport features the Carenado bridge. So maybe Southern California already deletes it. Does somebody know the Exclusion file for this.

I think that I will check first without both sceneries, looking at default San Diego, then introduce ORBX and after LVFR to see what it changes. Takes me some hours to start the sim.

Thanks for any good hint.

I gave up, uninstalled the LatinVFR KSAN and got the one from ORBX. It's kind of blackmail, what ORBX does. I had LVFR KSAN long before SOCAL and got the update for v2 at a reduced price. I remember then, comparing the two version and deciding for LVFR.

At least, FPS seems to be better with the combined ORBX products.

I was curious and went to check it out ... I don't have it either :( ... weird thing is that the bridge does show up in their screenshots.

Now with ORBX KSAN it's there. I tried to disable ORBX Socal and LVFR KSAN 2 and then got the default bridge, which is no match at all. So I don't know if one of the products contains the bridge. I think SOCAL should have it. That's the purpose of this scenery. Maybe it was suppressed by LVFR scenery somehow or it is in the ORBX KSAN scenery.

Well, last time I checked,.... the Coronado bridge is included with LatinVFR San Diego (KSAN).

I use to cross over it back in the early '70's to Navy fire fighting school at North Island when is was a toll bridge.

I believe is is a free bridge now.

Notice the San Diego skyline in the background.
