I am using MSFS 2020.

I am new to the Track  IR 5 and I have downloaded the Flight Sim profile from Natural Point.

It helped a little, but I am having flutter issues, which probably means the sensitivity is not set correctly. Having the Tracker on and trying to set anything on the A/C panel is frustrating.  I usually turn it off when I need to work with settings on the A/C panel and turn it back on when completed, which kind of defeats the purpose?

I was wondering if someone can share their profile file for MSFS 2020 so I can use as a starting point.

I have left several posts on the Natural Point Track IR 5 Forum.  They moderate their forum and you don’t see your issue posted until the administrators approve / reply to it.  They claim to have issues with bots.

Also I load the Track IR 5 app and launch MSFS 2020, and after a few seconds Track IR 5  disappears from the bottom task bar, so I can’t really make adjustments pausing the sim. I exit the the sim, and have to go into Windows Task Manager to kill it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

THANKS!

You probably have a light source behind you that the camera is picking up. Remove it.

Seth profile with a larger deadzone in the middle. Seth should be included in the profiles that come with TIR5.

I don't understand what you're trying to do here. Maybe untick the "minimize to system tray" in the general options menu so it doesn't disappear.

I use the top row of the numpad       /   *   -    to Pause, Precision, Re-center the TIR5. I also removed any keyboard bindings from those three keys in MSFS Control Options.

Thank you for the information!

So the TrackIR GUI is not particularly user friendly. If you are new to it I would suggest you do a great deal of fiddling around with it. I think once you get a feel for trackIR and have played around with the setting your experience will improve. I think its best to make your own profile that will be specific to you and your particular setup. I actually place the camera behind me wearing a baseball cap backward with the trackclip on the back of my head. I'd suggest you start with smoothness and speed under the basic setting tab setting speed to 0.5 and smoothness to 50.

I finally got to testing the Track IR 5 in a completely dark room, and it still flutters, like slightly moving my head forward toward the screen and then back. You can see it on the xy graph in the Track IR 5 app.

Any ideas?  It is very frustrating!

Thanks!

You can try bring the camera view up and see what the camera sees when it have flutter, and adjust camera sensitivity accordingly, even in dark room, something could reflect IR and seen by camera when sensitivity too high, or if sensitivity set too low it could lost track of your mount that also cause flutter.
