Wrong way road traffic

It's always been like this in X-Plane, i.e. It's nothing new.

For one way streets, and dual carriageway/motorway roads, the traffic will appear to be correct, however on normal two lane roads the traffic will drive on the right. Basically, it uses the road direction from OpenStreetMap, which works fine for one-way carriageways, but two lane/direction roads will use right-hand traffic.

For ORBX's TrueEarth I had to modify the roads.net file to force the traffic onto the other side and it mostly worked correctly, however somethings were difficult to change, e.g. road signs would still be facing the wrong way. I also modified the roads file so that HGVs didn't use the outside lane and drove slower than the other vehicles.

Agreed, tonywob, nothing new in this issue. IMHO, LR could and should have sorted this out long ago. Perhaps you'd like to see what troopie is doing (over on the other forum)? He's made further improvements to his original solution for us who drive on the left.

Troopie did a remake of his work for most right hand drive or left hand side of the road countries. Good work, the only issue with it is it clashes with some scenery addons in particular SimHeaven, Troopie seems to think that is because a lot of developers compile their own roads for an area. Otherwise it worked fine for me but only in those places where I do not have SimHeaven installed - Oceania and Australia. Troopie basically has said that is all he can do and does not want to get bogged down in the weeds etc with what is a LR issue to start with.
