Odd crashing making it's debut

Featured Replies

Gentlemen,

I have now been flying the Felis 742 for well over 10k NM. Not a single crash or anything and judging by the distance flown it is up amongst my all time favourites. Yesterday was however an oddity in the extreme. I have made a habit of running HWINFO when I flight sim in order to have a firm grasp on temps and such. After yesterdays marathon (8hrs 'in the air') I had an average temp of about 65C. After said marathon I figured it was time to try out the Diablo 4 beta. I installed it and played it for a couple of hours after which I couldn't resist the Toliss A340 any longer 🤪

Bought it and installed it. Now I started getting crashes due to nvoglv64.dll. Nothing in the x-plane log but only in the windows log. It literally CTD'd on me 30 secs after loading at the gate. I thought it might be the Toliss. So I fired up the 742. Same thing and that has never crashed on me. I started removing plugins such as XPRealistic and Better Pushback. No difference.

The only thing that seems to have sorted this was unchecking Zink. Been running that for a long time and can't understand why it seems to be acting up like this. Doing my premiere in the A340 R/N and, knock on wood, no crashes yet.

Make sure drivers are up to date.  If so, then this might be your next step..

Yup. Decided to update drivers to latest. No difference after that either. Well, at least it seems to be working W/O Zink now. Kind of wondering if the D4 install messed things up in some way.

Hehe.. totally unrelated to Flight Sim. It's a game. Just thought the temporal correlation was odd.. 😉

An update might be in order.

I reset my NVidia-settings back to defaults. Maybe this cured the crash while using Zink. Back only to frame limiter, 'max performance' and threaded optimization off.
