Nice to re-acquaint yourself with parts of your country so nicely rendered by the new-look sim.

Lake Tekapo is in the New Zealand South Island.
Folks go there because It is part of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, with low light pollution. The Mt. John Observatory offers views of the night sky and the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis)

The lake is quite turquoise, the result of suspended rock flour delivered by upstream glacial action.

It's also a hydropower lake, and contributes to the grid which now supplies more than 80% of electricity from renewable sources.

Beautiful country. Beautiful shots!

Very nice, I flew into Tekapo in the sim two days ago. What a nice country, all in all.

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

NZ is always awesome!  I wish I could visit, I so want to visit The Lord Of The Rings sites.

Yes there's a bit of everything to look at, and I'm especially enjoying the level of scenery detail in the sim and also addons.

Of course, you really establish the quality of the photogrammetry when you are able to find your house, properly rendered! 🙂
