I can't figure out how to have trackir5.exe start _before_  msfs ?

 

I have trackir5.exe in the options->additional options section and it auto starts when I click the launch simulator arrow but it starts after the sim and I see no option to have it start before ?

Hello,

The programs are called in the sequential order that is shown in the options screen (you can move them up and down to match your needs). Try to place trackir5.exe first in the list and make sure it does not have the 'wait for simconnect' option in the launch properties and it should be called before the sim.

Maybe you have another program that is executed before trackir and, if that program is set with the option 'wait for simconnect', that would explain why trackir is not called immediately. The tool would wait till simconnect is initialised (after the sim starts) then launch the first program and then only launch launch trackir (hmm not sure if it's very clearly written but well 🙊😱😜)

if you still can't figure it out, please open your INI file with notepad (C:\ProgramData\MSFS Addons Linker\MSFS_Addons_Linker.ini) and send me via private message the content of all the rows that start with 'FlightSimulator_Launch' (they are grouped togethere)
