Ground texture quality / mesh problem

Featured Replies

Hi guys.  I understand there are different levels of quality in the scenery from area to area and city to city, but I can’t help but think I have other issues going on. I’m running MSFS 2020 on the XBox Series X and some areas are stunning but others are horrible. In some cases buildings will be split down the middle stunning one half and barely recognizable the other half. Also there are black splits in the ground mesh which I have circled in one photo below. Is there something going on here beyond  the native quality of the scenery? Eg. A problem with the install?

Thanks.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱

Could someone check to see if this is how Colorado Springs should look on the XBox?

I‘m not on Xbox so I can‘t check, but it looks like the scenery isn‘t loaded properly which might be due to server or connection issues. Is it always like that in this place? I‘ve seen this on many occasions. When I checked at a later point it was fine again.

I'll keep checking back to that area in the sim,  but I would be interested if when someone else checks Colorado Springs and it's better than the above at least I'll know it should be better than it is.  🙂

I assume he is using photogrammetry on, I've got a 100 megabyte download speed and still  can't reliably run with it on, so I just turn it off.

My speed varies from 250-300mbs.    I do have photogrammetry on.
