April 21, 20233 yr Hi, I have noticed on some recent approaches that I am getting a message in magenta - reading LDG INHIBIT. Everything seems to be OK - but I assume that it cannot be because of the message. What does it mean and what are the possible causes of it appearing? - and thus what do I need to do, if anything, to not have it showing. George Westwell
April 21, 20233 yr Everything is ok. This just tells you that certain messages are suppressed so that you can concentrate on the important messages during TO and Landing. April 21, 20233 yr Some wise sage will come along with the full answer, but I am guessing - with the Feinx A320 capable of full automatic landing, including touchdown - that it is simply telling the pilot that that the auto touchdown facility is presently not available. There is a lot of additional information that the flight computer needs for full auto touchdown that is not needed for an auto ILS approach followed by a manual touchdown.
